OK; yeah, so I watched the special on Valerie Harper's cancer situation tonight. Poignant, Interesting, Familiar. But the fact is that if she hadn't been a long-ago TV star, the 74-year-old actress would have been completely ignored by Meredith and everyone else.
NBC, I'd much rather have watched a show about a young, unemployed, unlovable homeless guy who had survived undiagnosed cancer for 10 years with no health insurance than Valerie's story (sorry, Valerie).

Guns
"The only way to stop a Republican/Conservative with a gun is a Democrat/Liberal with a gun".
Be fore-warned, people: the current political divide in the USA is likely to only get worse, to the point of violence coming from the right. Make sure you've purchased the most powerful legal guns with the biggest legal clips to defend yourself from the coming horde. When someone threatens you with harm, don't be afraid to use whatever means you possess to defend yourself! Yay freedom! Yay 2nd Amendment! Yay USA!!!
